Final Analysis:
The Sunpentown SD-65E Dehumidifier has several great features making it a viable option for several situations. The biggest feature that it has that most other dehumidifiers do not have is that it allows for you to specify a certain percentage that you wish to lower the humidity to. This means that the dehumidifier will actually stop once it reaches a certain point, allowing for a large energy savings.
The upside to the Sunpentown SD-65E Dehumidifier is it’s built very well. It is not all that heavy, but is not built flimsy or without quality in mind. At the same time, you do not have to be an expert to run it. It is a plug and play type system where you simply plug it into an outlet, push a button, and let it go.
The only downside that some people have had with this dehumidifier is its noise. Some people say it is very quiet, others say it is loud. My view is that runs as a standard fan would. If you can handle fan noise, you should be able to handle this dehumidifier.
